Below are some questions that can help guide your research and investigation. You can copy these questions into an online document or print them out to record your answers:
Identify stakeholders, allies, and sources of opposition:
Identify people or groups most impacted by your issue. Why and how are they impacted? Ask them directly if possible.
Are there people or groups who support your issue? Who are they and why do they support your issue? Ask them directly if possible. Do their reasons make sense? Why or why not?
Are there people or groups who oppose your issue? Who are they and why do they oppose your issue? Ask them directly if possible. Do their reasons make sense? Why or why not?
